As a result of this disruption, music fans can use today a much broader variety of platforms and formats than in the past. Consequences of this transformation are on one side the increased importance of the role that the music company plays in areas like marketing or A&R and on the other side the threaten of the value gap that can’t be resolved without a new legislation.
